Dr. Tyler Richards

Tyler Richards is the Owner of Prescott Dental Arts, where he is dedicated to delivering thoughtful, patient-centered care through a blend of modern technology and personalized treatment. Originally from Eagle Mountain, Utah, Tyler served a two-year mission in El Salvador and Belize before returning to pursue his undergraduate studies at Utah Valley University, graduating summa cum laude with a degree in biology and a minor in chemistry. He went on to earn his dental degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. During dental school, Tyler and his family frequently visited Prescott to escape the summer heat, eventually falling in love with the community and choosing to make it their long-term home.

Tyler’s passion for dentistry began in college after shadowing a dentist and discovering the profound impact oral health has on overall well-being, confidence, and quality of life. He is especially drawn to the combination of art and advanced technology that dentistry offers, as well as the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with his patients. Tyler has a strong interest in digital design in dentistry, emergency and pain-relieving treatments, and comprehensive diagnostics. He is committed to not only treating dental issues but also identifying their root causes to help prevent future problems. For Tyler, moments when patients express relief and surprise at how comfortable their experience was continue to affirm that he chose the right profession.

Outside of the office, Tyler enjoys spending the vast majority of his time with his wife and their two young children. Whether exploring local parks, biking along the Peavine Trail, or building creative backyard projects like oversized playground equipment, he values making lasting memories with his family. In his limited free time, Tyler also enjoys being in nature, playing pickleball, and reading.
